Make every breath count; make every breath easy – that’s the guiding philosophy of Alameda Hospital’s Respiratory Care team.

Our team consists of highly trained specialists who are experienced in treating emergency breathing related problems including respiratory distress, heart attack, stroke, and shock respiratory failure. We also provide management and treatment of chronic lung problems including asthma, bronchitis, COPD, emphysema and sleep apnea.

From the newborn to the critically ill patient, respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostics provide the following services to patients with acute- or long-term breathing problems:

  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Oxygen desaturation testing
  • Sleep studies

Our team of passionate and professional staff uses evidence-based clinical practice guidelines to provide a wide range of therapies to improve breathing.
