The cardiologists at Alameda Hospital implement a full range of technological tools to diagnose and treat cardiac conditions and heart disease.
We recognize cardiovascular disease affects millions of people. Heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death in the United States, surpassing the next seven causes of death combined, including cancer. Yet, the vast majority of heart problems can be effectively treated once they are recognized. Therefore, in addition to providing state-of-the-art treatment, we place equal importance on educating our patients and their families.
Our comprehensive approach includes evaluation, treatment and follow-up of patients with all types of cardiac conditions, noninvasive diagnostic testing, cardiac catheterization and coronary stenting, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and, when needed, referral of patients for open-heart surgery or advanced procedures to correct the heart rhythm.
We care for patients with a wide variety of cardiac conditions, including
- Coronary artery disease (blocked arteries causing chest pain, shortness of breath or heart attack)
- Heart failure (a weakened or stiff heart muscle causing shortness of breath, swelling or fatigue)
- Heart valve problems
- Heart rhythm problems
- Congenital heart disease
Our cardiac treatments, diagnostic procedures, and tools include, but are not limited to:
- Cardiac stress tests
- Nuclear Medicine
We dedicate our efforts to caring for our patients and their hearts. That is why we joined Alameda Health System. We strive to listen, and to provide outstanding care with respect and compassion.
