Donato Stinghen, MD
Dr. Stinghen is Medical Director of the Kate Creedon Center for Advanced Wound Care, and is a board certified general surgeon. He joined the staff of Alameda Hospital more than 32 years ago, and has previously served the hospital as president of the medical staff and as chairman of the hospital’s Surgery Committee. He completed his residency and internship at Highland Hospital in Oakland, CA, and is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Don received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of California, Davis, is an avid sports enthusiast with a penchant for off-piste/randonne skiing.
Jenna Brimmer, MD
Dr. Brimmer joined Alameda Hospital in 2003, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and practices as a Hospitalist/Internal Medicine physician. After an internship at California Pacific Medical Center, she completed her residency at the Alameda County Medical Center. Dr. Brimmer graduated from the University of California, Davis Medical School and received her undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley. Jenna used to live in Tahoe and is an avid snowboarder, not skier, but snowboarder.
Anthony Poggio, DPM
Dr. Poggio is board certified foot surgeon/Podiatrist, specializing in foot and ankle injuries and disorders, and has been on staff at Alameda Hospital for more than 26 years. Among his many accolades, he has been named the recipient of the California Podiatric Medical Association’s (CPMA) most prestigious award, The California Podiatric Physician of the Year. Dr. Poggio is a founding member of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and an expert in CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid) matters, having chaired the CPMA’s Medicare Committee for a decade. He completed his residency at the Pacific Coast Hospital in San Francisco after receiving his doctorate from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, and Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Tony is a native of Oakland, a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Albany, and an operating room singer of anything Elvis Presley.
Christina Kwok-Oleksy, DPM
Dr. Kwok-Oleksy practices Podiatric Surgery and joined Alameda Hospital in 2010. She completed her residency training at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Kwok holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Illinois, where she focused on epidemiology. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Christina’s love for dogs apparently does not transfer over to all of the USDA’s recommended food group types, as she is known for not eating, under any circumstances, vegetables that are raw.
